Chrome has a built-in restriction on browsing history, and you can’t save the history data beyond 90 days regardless of your settings. I only realized the limit when trying to searching for my history and noticing missing records. Fortunately, there’s a Chrome extension that provides an alternative way to save history.

The extension will save your existing history data in a separate database, so you can readily access it without worrying about the deletion. Sorry, you can’t recover the history already deleted by Chrome. The extension is last updated in April 2020 as of writing.
